Prevention

Dental disease is one of the most common reasons why children miss school, yet is almost entirely preventable. Regular dental exams and cleanings are an important part of a child's healthcare routine and can prevent serious concerns later on. Splash Smiles cares for all of your child's routine and complex dental needs.

Non-Invasive Dentistry

Non invasive dentistry is characterized by the core belief of preserving and maintaining original tissue, focusing on the prevention of disease, and using minimally invasive measures when treatment is required. Some minimally invasive procedures offered include Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) and Atraumatic Restorative Technique (ART).

Pediatric Crowns

A pediatric dental crown may be necessary when a tooth is broken down to the point where a filling won’t be effective. By covering or “capping” a tooth, it can be restored to its normal size and shape while strengthening and protecting it from further cracking or breakage. We offer stainless steel crowns and white zirconia crowns. Our dentists can help you determine which is the best option for your child.

Nitrous Oxide

We offer Nitrous Oxide, or “silly gas”, for our patients who need dental treatment including fillings, crowns, or extractions. Nitrous oxide is a safe and effective option to decrease anxiety and create a more positive experience for your child during their treatment.

Hospital Dentistry

Our dentists also provide comprehensive preventive, restorative and oral maxillofacial surgical procedures for healthy and medically compromised children utilizing general anesthesia. This procedure is done at the Kennedy Outpatient Center at Erlanger Hospital in downtown Chattanooga.

IV Sedation

Our practice has teamed up with Pediatric Dental Anesthesia Associates (PDAA) to offer IV sedation to our patients. IV sedation is a great option for our younger or anxious patients that are otherwise unable to tolerate treatment. With IV sedation we are able to complete all treatment in a single visit.
